Dear Parents:

To help you make your decision, we want you to know the following facts about Camp CedarRidge.

• We are an inter-denominational Christian camp with a 69-year history of enriching camper’s lives. We strive to teach and model the integration of faith and life. We use an age-graded, action-oriented Bible curriculum. Camp CedarRidge complements materials that many churches use and reinforces its goals and values.

• Accredited by the American Camping Association revealing that we strive for excellence in all facets of camp.

• We are VERY SELECTIVE about our staff! There is an extensive application, interview, and background check. It is not "just a job" ....it's a way of giving ... of making a difference for Christ!

• Safety is a prime concern. Every precaution is taken to insure a healthy stay. A registered nurse is always on site for emergencies and the hospital is approximately 17 miles away.

• We operate on a "small-group" focus. Our camper-to-staff ratio is around 4:1 with seven to nine campers and a counselor in each cabin or tent.

• Our non-competitive environment offers each camper opportunities to set and meet their own goals, to experience success and to enhance their self-esteem.

• Children may begin coming to our week long sessions after second grade. For first graders, Camp 101 and Parent-Child weekends are great "starter experiences."
